About the Role

The Disability Support Worker will provide support to clients with disabilities, focusing on skill development and enriching their lives through engaging, creative activities. This role may involve providing in-home support for clients, which could require working afternoon and night shifts.

About You
  • You will be confident in engaging with clients effectively, building positive relationships, and supporting their unique needs.
  • You will be resilient and self-assured, able to work with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • You will be skilled in prioritizing tasks and demonstrating problem-solving abilities.
  • You will be flexible, with availability for shift work, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays.
  • You will be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.
  • You will hold a valid Australian Driver's License, Working With Children Check, and NSW NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • You will be able to pass a National Criminal History Check.
  • You will be fully vaccinated with 3 doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
  • You will have experience working with high-needs Disability clients.
  • You will hold a Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent (desirable).
  • You will have a demonstrated understanding of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) processes (desirable).
