About the Role

GoSourcing Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Systems Analyst to support our Federal Government client. The role can be based in Canberra, Brisbane, or Melbourne.

The successful candidate will design, create, evaluate, and document ICT solutions for new and existing systems. They may propose modifications to existing systems and processes or design new systems to meet user needs as expressed in requirements documents or user stories.

Senior Systems Analysts are responsible for translating business needs into ICT system requirements and specifications for enhancements. This includes designing, analysing, and documenting software systems to meet business expectations.

Key duties include:

  • Perform detailed analysis and evaluation of business processes and requirements
  • Create solution designs and implement solutions to meet business needs
  • Support daily operations and monitor performance of business solutions
  • Adhere to delivery and support methodologies and contribute ideas for improvement
  • Perform detailed technical application assessments considering feasibility, resource effort, risks, and benefits
  • Conduct testing activities such as test planning, execution coverage reviews, and defect management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define tasks, resolve issues, solve problems, and ensure effective and timely implementation of projects
  • Undertake project quality management tasks such as peer and quality reviews of specifications, design, and testing documents
  • Review research, process models, and documentation of other staff, providing guidance and feedback
  • Resolve or escalate issues as required and suggest alternative approaches and solutions
  • Perform cost analysis activities as required
  • Manage the life cycle of changes and improvements to systems
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have significant experience working as a SAP Technical Analyst in large-scale SAP Australian Public Sector environments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a team to increase performance and engagement through coaching, capability development, performance management, health and well-being support, setting priorities, managing resources, and assisting with the development of work plans
  • Exercising delegations in line with legislation and guidelines as required

This is a 12-month contract position with potential extensions. A competitive salary range is AU$120,000 - AU$160,000 per year, depending on experience.
