We are seeking a skilled Senior Communications Advisor to lead strategic engagement initiatives on the Sunshine Coast.

This is a unique opportunity to shape public narratives and play a central role in delivering vital infrastructure developments that will benefit the community for years to come.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in communications, community engagement, or public relations, ideally within government or infrastructure sectors.
  • They will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, accessible messages.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government, contractors, and community groups.
  • A proven ability to design and deliver strategic communication campaigns that align with project goals.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure or transport projects is highly regarded.
  • Experience with community engagement frameworks and tools, such as IAP2 Certification, is desirable.
  • Skills in social media management and digital content creation are essential.
  • An understanding of government processes and regulatory requirements is necessary.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working within or alongside government departments.
  • A track record of managing complex stakeholder relationships in dynamic environments.
