
Aged Care Contract Manager Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all contracts across our aged care services, with a strong emphasis on compliance with the new Aged Care Act and all relevant legislation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the end-to-end procurement process in consultation with contract leads, ensuring full compliance with the new Aged Care Act, relevant legislation, and industry standards.
- Manage, review, and renew contracts with suppliers and service providers for all aspects of aged care operations, ensuring ongoing legislative compliance.
- Negotiate favourable terms, prices, and service levels, always seeking value while upholding compliance obligations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and the broader aged care community.
- Monitor contract performance, risk, and renewal schedules, providing regular reporting to ensure legislative compliance is maintained.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement practices, cost efficiency, and compliance processes.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrates initiative, positive attitude, and strong motivation to be part of a team.
- Personal values align with our organisation's values of courtesy and kindness.
- 2-5 years of experience in procurement, contract management, or a related field, ideally within aged care or health services.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and organisational abilities.
- Ability to present financial data and comparisons in an easy-to-read format or business case.
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality, compliance, and legislative requirements.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
