Job Title: Restoration Technician

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Restoration Technician. As a key member of our restoration team, you will play a vital role in restoring properties to their pre-loss condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely Operate Equipment: Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Restore Properties: Follow job instructions and complete restoration works to required quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments: Conduct on-site risk and safety assessments and complete OH&S documentation.
  • Supervise Staff: Supervise and train staff, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to customer satisfaction.
  • Attend Emergency Jobs: Participate in on-call rosters and attend emergency jobs, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Complete Documentation: Complete accurate job records, paperwork, and inventory documentation.
  • Report Equipment Issues: Report and manage damaged or faulty equipment.
  • Maintain Certifications: Maintain required industry certifications and technical skills.
  • Lead Projects: Lead small to large projects from start to completion.
Requirements:
  • Quality Focus: A strong focus and commitment to quality, attention to detail, customer service, and presentation.
  • Communication Skills: Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Reliability: Demonstrated reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments, with an ability to set realistic goals, problem-solve, and establish work priorities.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated intermediate competence using Steamatic propriety computer software programs and ability to navigate and learn new computer programs.
  • Microsoft Outlook: Demonstrated competence using Microsoft Outlook.
  • Professional Communication: Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, in a professional and concise manner.
  • Covering Absences: Ability to cover for other staff when they are absent.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of cleaning and restoration practices, procedures, and systems and a working knowledge of the insurance industry.
  • Manual Handling: Manual Handling (up to 30 kg).
  • Valid Driver's License: Vehicle Driving & Valid Driver Licence.
