Primary School Coding and Robotics Tutor

We are seeking an experienced tutor to join our team in teaching primary school students the fundamentals of coding and robotics.

This role involves developing and delivering engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, from Year 1 to Year 6. You will work closely with a small group of students (5-15) and provide personalized attention and support to ensure they grasp key concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver interactive lesson plans on robotics and coding
  • Supervise students as they construct projects using provided materials
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
  • Develop and prepare lesson materials in advance
  • Perform administrative tasks as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in block-based programming languages (Blockly, Scratch)
  • Proficiency in hands-on building skills with VEX Robotics components
  • Prior experience in education, robotics, engineering, or coding is highly valued
  • Able to commit to working at Chatswood, NSW, Australia
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
