Robotics Tutor for Primary School

Teach young minds the art of robotics and coding.

This role involves instructing a class of students on theory and practical aspects of robotics and programming. Key responsibilities include:

  • Instruct students in classroom settings using educational materials.
  • Supervise students as they construct projects using provided components.
  • Monitor student attendance, performance, and maintain records.
  • Prepare lessons by developing teaching materials.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A passion for teaching and learning.
  • Knowledge of block-based programming languages like Blockly or Scratch.
  • Experience with VEX Robotics program and hands-on building skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include studies in education, robotics, engineering, or coding.
  • Ability to work at Chatswood, NSW, Australia.
  • Capacity to obtain a Working with Childrens Check.
  • Proficiency in using teaching aids such as Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Lessons are taught using VEX robotics components and incorporate Python3, C++ or block-based programming. A free short course is provided to familiarize tutors with the VEX robotics program.
