Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with GFS leadership to develop and communicate clear expectations, business targets, and growth strategies for the Country GFS Operations unit.
  • Oversee the implementation of GFS vision, business strategy, and organizational direction in relation to Fund Accounting, Transfer agency, and Investment Operations activities.
  • Lead the Country GFS Operations unit in achieving business objectives, ensuring effective governance and oversight, and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Provide key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to senior leaders, ensuring accountability and transparency.
  • Develop and implement a framework to enable direct and matrix reports to utilize resources effectively, in conjunction with HR, to identify and address performance management and training needs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain knowledge of relevant corporate and local legislation.
  • Assume responsibility for staffing resources within the Country GFS Operations unit, including managing capital and expense budgets, and improving efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
  • Resolve complex business problems using advanced critical thinking and apply broad industry knowledge to drive financial performance.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of C&IS and Country Operations as part of the Global Fund Services business offering.
  • Understanding of local laws affecting the banking and branch industry to ensure office compliance.
  • Business strategy development skills to provide long-term support to the profitability and performance of a regional segment.
  • Leadership and organizational skills to determine unit goals, resources, and staff development needs.
  • Negotiation skills to drive financial performance and articulate arguments in an executive environment.
Experience
  • Post-qualification experience in increasingly senior roles, preferably in major financial services businesses.
  • Effective communication and management skills, with the ability to articulate and develop arguments in an executive environment.
  • Well-developed coaching and counseling skills to support staff development.
