Job Opportunity: Primary Curriculum Specialist

The Department of Education seeks a qualified, experienced, and highly motivated individual to take up the role of Principal Consultant - Primary, Curriculum and Assessment specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Western Australian curriculum and assessment requirements.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating information sessions, organizing teacher seminars, and coordinating with stakeholders to share ideas and devise common approaches. Additionally, they will develop and review curriculum and assessment materials to support the implementation of the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and review curriculum and assessment materials
  • Facilitate information sessions and teacher seminars
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to share ideas and devise common approaches
  • Monitor and review the implementation and delivery of curriculum initiatives, standards, projects, and programs

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the Western Australian curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
