Role Summary:
As a highly skilled Work Health and Safety Professional, you will play a key role in driving change across multiple sites. You will report to the WHS Manager and support the internal Operations Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert support to the Regional Management team on Work Health and Safety matters
- Manage, review, and seek continual improvement of the WHS Management System in alignment with legislative requirements and industry best practices
- Ability to travel upon request for site-related WHS matters
- Lead/Facilitate Incident Investigations
- Conduct Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification activities
- Use Safety Management Software (MYOSH or similar)
- Act as the first point of contact for WHS queries and advice
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Certificate IV or Diploma OHS/WHS
- ICAM Investigation Trained
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- Experience in system and program implementation, including behavioural safety
- 5+ years of experience in WHS within the resources industry
- Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory framework for WHS (state and national)
- Strong communication skills at all levels
- Able to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
- Passion for WHS
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Pass a Pre-employment medical and Drug and Alcohol Screen
