Compliance and Stakeholder Liaison Officer

The ECQ is seeking a highly skilled Compliance and Stakeholder Liaison Officer to join our team. As a key member of the Funding and Disclosure team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with electoral funding and disclosure regulations.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the ECQ's funding and disclosure compliance plan by analysing data and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on their disclosure requirements, including elected representatives and political participants.
  • Draft and send penalty infringement notices and warning letters to stakeholders, and manage responses as required.
  • Collaborate with the Principal Compliance Officer, Principal Funding and Disclosure Officer, and Senior Auditor to ensure effective compliance at all levels.
  • Develop and maintain educational material for use by stakeholders, including elected representatives, political parties, donors, and other key interested parties.
  • Contribute to the testing and implementation of electronic support systems and business processes to ensure high standards of user experience and administrative efficiencies.
  • Interpret government legislation and the ECQ's policies to ensure compliance in electoral matters.
Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of electoral funding and disclosure regulations, with the ability to provide expert advice and guidance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Proficiency in using software applications, including Microsoft Office.
