Job Title: Therapeutic Youth Worker

As a Therapeutic Youth Worker, you will be working closely with children and young people who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect. These young people may also have disabilities or complex medical needs requiring specialized support.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children and young people to develop independent life skills, problem-solving skills, and positive relationships with others.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team to ensure a safe, homelike environment for these young people.
  • Assist with daily activities such as personal care, if required.

Requirements:

  • Education: Hold or be actively completing a Diploma in Community Services or related field (or higher). Alternatively, hold relevant experience and complete the Diploma qualification offered by Life Without Barriers.
  • Experience: Ideally, 3 years of experience supporting children, young people, and/or people with disability, preferably within a residential care setting.
  • Certifications: Current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate and a current driver's license.
