**ABOUT THIS ROLE**

Support the participation of young women and girl mentees and young women mentors to engage in mentoring relationships and activities through the Youth Frontiers program in the Illawarra region

In this role you will:

- Provide ongoing support to program mentors for meaningful participation of young people in care and at risk of engagement with the youth justice system, including facilitation of training sessions.
- Assist in sourcing, training, retaining and supervising volunteer mentors across the region.
- Actively engage with community, services and program participants to effectively support sustainable mentor relationships and promotion of the program.
- Assist and participate in the coordination of program community events, volunteer support training and special interest events as required.

**ABOUT YOU**

With a passion for social change and an intersectional feminist approach to practice, you will have:

- Relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in youth work, social work or similar
- Strong communication and relationship building skills with an ability to nurture relationships
- Experience working with young people at risk including those engaged with both child protection and youth justice systems
- Valid drivers license with access to an insured vehicle
