Empowering Youth through Career Guidance

As a dedicated Career Counsellor, you will play a pivotal role in empowering disengaged youth to achieve their career aspirations. You will provide tailored one-on-one career guidance to help young people identify and pursue meaningful education, training, and employment pathways.
Working closely with school-aged early school leavers, you will deliver targeted outreach and support, focusing on those at risk of disengagement. Your expertise will enable you to conduct initial check-ins to understand clients' needs, aspirations, and preferred support methods.
You will support young people in building their capacity and capability for smooth transitions into education, training, and employment pathways. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will design and implement career education activities and employability programs that enhance youth employment outcomes.
Guided by industry-recognized guidelines, you will deliver youth-focused, qualified career advice that makes a tangible difference in the lives of young people. This role offers an opportunity to make a real impact by empowering individuals to achieve their full potential.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Proven experience in career counselling, with a focus on supporting disengaged youth.
- In-depth knowledge of career development theory, labour markets, and employment pathways.
- Skilled in tailoring guidance to help clients transition into education, training, or employment.
- Graduate Certificate in Careers Development or a related qualification, with relevant experience.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adept at engaging with diverse clients and stakeholders.
