Corporate Counsel - Leasing Specialist Role Overview

This is a senior legal position requiring extensive experience in commercial leasing. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of post-admission legal expertise, with a strong background in retail and commercial leasing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and completing leasing documents across the national property portfolio. This includes retail leases, agreements for lease, variations, renewals, surrenders, and licences to occupy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Review and negotiate leasing agreements
  • Participate in lease structuring and risk allocation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure quality excellence
  • Support the Legal team's risk and governance activities
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 7 years of post-admission legal experience in retail and commercial leasing
  • Admitted to practice in Australia with a current unrestricted practising certificate
  • Strong knowledge of leasing legislation and retail tenancy codes across multiple jurisdictions
