Job Overview

You will play a pivotal role in shaping our company culture by fostering an inclusive, high-performing environment that values the well-being and professional growth of our employees. As the lead talent acquisition specialist, you will have the opportunity to help our leaders design and implement a comprehensive employee engagement strategy from the ground up.

This is a remote role that can be based anywhere in Australia or the US. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Designing and delivering a strategic employee engagement plan to promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture, with a focus on building connection and culture remotely.
  2. Developing and executing events to strengthen company culture, foster team bonding, and promote employee engagement.
  3. Managing performance reviews and reward processes, driving a feedback culture through open and transparent dialogue.
  4. Managing employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and employee coaching.
  5. Administering employee benefits and compensation programs, taking into account regional differences in benefits structures and requirements.
  6. Developing and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and best practices to support our diverse, remote workforce in both the US and Australia.
  7. Supporting talent acquisition efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding top talent for our team.
  8. Managing and optimizing HR technology and tools to streamline processes and improve the employee experience.

Key qualifications include:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a People Operations or HR role, preferably in a tech startup environment.
  • Proven experience driving employee engagement in a global, remote work environment will be highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, talent engagement, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of Australian and US employment laws, regulations, and benefits structures.
  • Agile and adaptable: willingness to wear multiple hats, adapt to the ever-changing needs of a fast-growing organization, and remain flexible in a dynamic work environment.
  • Interpersonal skills: ability to build strong relationships, connect with employees, and foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Communication skills: able to communicate complex information in a clear and engaging manner consistent with our organizational vibe and culture.
  • Problem-solving skills: good at identifying issues, finding solutions, and addressing challenges proactively.
  • Detail-oriented and organized: capable of managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects while ensuring accuracy and timely completion of tasks.
  • Tech-savvy: proficient in using HR technology and tools to streamline processes and improve the employee experience.
