About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced and passionate educator to join our team as an Adventure-Based Educator for at-risk youth. This full-time position offers a competitive salary, including 12.75% superannuation and loads of opportunities for professional development.
As an Adventure-Based Educator, you'll play a vital role in designing and delivering engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students. You'll work closely with our multidisciplinary team to create personalized educational responses that address the complex challenges faced by our young people.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering lessons that promote hands-on, experiential learning
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to build a supportive, positive learning environment
- Developing strong relationships with students, parents, and the broader community
- Participating in school activities, such as outdoor expeditions, vocational training, and personal growth programs
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess a strong passion for working with at-risk youth and a commitment to the values of a Catholic educational system in the Edmund Rice tradition. You'll also require:
- Queensland College of Teachers registration
- A valid driver's license
- Experience working with students at risk
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Adaptability, creativity, and energy in the classroom
