Job Title: Creative Apparel Design Lead

The estimated salary for this role is AU$90,000 - AU$110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:
  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and Production Development of accountable brands, licenses, and product categories.
  • Support Design Manager and Account Managers to ensure desired outcomes for customers.

To achieve this, you will be responsible for:

  • Key Deliverables:
  • Seasonal or monthly range designs
  • Sketching garment shapes and selecting suitable fabrications
  • Trend and seasonal forecasting
  • Creating production/tech packs for each style designed
  • Preparing costing art-sheets to include technical drawings, trim details, and construction specifications
  • Documenting fabric quality and print swatches
  • Monitoring product submissions, including fits samples, quality swatches, lab dips, prints, trims, accessories, and fabric qualities within the required production time allocated for the approval process
  • Maintaining and updating files to customer requirements
  • Coordinating sourcing of fabrics and trims related to designed products
  • Liaising with factories and internal parties regarding problem-solving and design approvals
  • Liaising with QA techs on fit and styling throughout the production process, including Fit, PP, and Shipment sampling stages
  • Designing range books for buyer meetings or range presentations
  • Ensuring timely delivery of required samples

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Industry Experience:
  • 5-6 years' industry experience in fashion design or a related field
  • Tertiary Qualification:
  • Fashion Design or Graphic Design degree, or a related discipline
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Other Requirements:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and maintain a high level of organization
  • Strong eye for product and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Demonstrated experience in Sport Licensing
