At Seed Heritage, we are seeking a talented Apparel Designer to join our dynamic team in developing stylish, trend-driven collections for the Australian and New Zealand markets.

This role involves collaborating closely with the Buying Manager and other key stakeholders to create balanced apparel collections that resonate with our customers. As an Apparel Designer, you will be responsible for researching and identifying key trends, colours, and styles for the season, applying them to collections.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification or equivalent in Fashion Design/Buying, with minimum 4 years of experience in Design or Product Development. They will possess advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and InDesign) and standard knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

A strong analytical, numerate, and accurate individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills is required. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and work effectively as part of a team is essential.

About the Role
  • Research and identify key trends, colours, and styles for the season, applying them to collections.
  • Prepare mood boards and colour palettes for presentation to the Creative Director and Buying Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Design Director and Planner to develop balanced apparel collections.
  • Brief graphic designers on monthly range requirements to ensure impactful presentations.
  • Work with Production Coordinators to meet safety and compliance standards for all products.
  • Attend fit sessions, providing direction and feedback on fit comments.
  • Analyse weekly sales reports to identify bestsellers and opportunities for growth.
  • Communicate timely updates on product delivery and ensure quality standards are met.
About You
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in Fashion Design/Buying.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Design or Product Development.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and InDesign).
  • Standard knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
