Project Planning Expert

We are seeking a skilled Project Planning Expert to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling construction projects from inception to completion.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules that align with agreed methodologies.
  • Identify and document key activities, milestones, and constraints.
  • Establish and maintain accurate construction, procurement, and deliverables schedules based on the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and contract requirements.
  • Ensure that planning processes and controls are in accordance with the Construction Management System and contract requirements.
  • Actively contribute to the identification, mitigation, and response to project risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain standards and processes to ensure that program, progress, and other scheduling data is maintained up to date.
  • Prepare staging documentation for meetings and reviews.
  • Coordinate detailed monthly reviews and updates of the project program with delivery teams.
  • Advise lead planner on report interpretation and analysis of the Critical Path.
  • Provide insights into project performance, forward planning, and development of corrective actions to maximise project delivery outcomes.
  • Support and maintain strong relationships with project teams.
  • Ensure clear lines of communication with all stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, with complex infrastructure projects preferably Rail.
  • Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team of planners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
