About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading provider of environmental services to the Defence sector. As an Environmental Project Officer, you will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and implementing Environmental Management Plans within our Environmental Management System Framework, in accordance with Defence Environmental Management System (EMS) and Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) System requirements.
  2. Ensuring all environmental works undertaken by our staff and subcontractors are in compliance with the Contract and site-specific Environmental Management Plans.
  3. Preparing and evaluating tender documentation for environmental works, and engaging with stakeholders as required.
  4. Managing Land Management services effectively and within agreed budgetary guidelines.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in environmental science or a related field. The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or a related field.
  2. Suitability for Defence security clearance, including Australian Citizenship.
  3. Hands-on environmental experience in a similar environment.
  4. Knowledge of the Defence industry (desirable).
  5. Involvement with relevant environmental panels or committees (desirable).
