Assistant Retail Manager Position

Job Title: Assistant Retail Manager

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a retail shopping centre environment, excellent relationship management and negotiation skills, and advanced administration and financial skills. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring tenants comply with lease terms, responding to customer/tenant queries and complaints, and assisting the Retail Manager with retailer requests and administration tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all tenants adhere to their lease agreements
  • Respond promptly to customer and tenant inquiries and escalate as necessary
  • Support the Retail Manager with retailer requests and administrative duties
  • Ensure centre rules are enforced among all tenants
  • Collaborate with the Retail Manager on arrears procedures and targets
  • Provide regular reports on centre performance and other pertinent issues
  • Stay informed about local retail trends and competition
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the shopping centre service level offering
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations and special projects

Requirements:

For this role, we seek candidates with a proven track record of success in administration within a retail setting or similar field. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential. Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including tenants, clients, and contractors, is vital. Advanced administrative and financial expertise is required.
