Job Title: Data Centre Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Data Centre Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our data centre facilities.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Manage the physical operation and maintenance of the data centre's mission critical infrastructure (electrical & mechanical)
    • Facilitate zero downtime operation by identifying and eliminating potential points of failures / risk
    • Promote reliable performance and maintenance of primary and backup power supply systems and power distribution for the facilities
    • Assist in the development, testing, and implementation of the AFP Maintenance plan
    • Oversee the design and implementation of all future upgrades specific to the Server Room facilities

Requirements:

  • A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a like or related field
  • Unrestricted Electrical trades licence
  • Experience and knowledge of critical power train components - generators/transfer switches/UPS

Desirable Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Data Centre tiering layers as per ANSI TIA 942
  • Experience with DCIM (Data Centre Infrastructure Monitoring) platforms
  • Interpretation of electrical drawings and specifications, particularly as they relate to server rooms and supporting infrastructure
