Solution Architect


Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to work directly with IT, business areas, and Agile Delivery Teams to provide strategic and technical guidance while leading the development of solution architectures. This role requires a balance of hands-on technical design, governance, and enterprise-level leadership, ensuring solutions align with business needs and standards.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in solution architecture across complex, multi-system environments. They will possess strong technical skills, including expertise in designing cloud-native and on-prem architectures with detailed component and interface specifications.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have solid knowledge of architecture frameworks, standards, and security policies. They will be able to contribute to the selection and governance of architectural components and have experience working within Agile project/program delivery environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in solution architecture across complex, multi-system environments.
  • Strong technical skills, including expertise in designing cloud-native and on-prem architectures with detailed component and interface specifications.
  • Solid knowledge of architecture frameworks, standards, and security policies.
  • Ability to contribute to the selection and governance of architectural components.
  • Experience working within Agile project/program delivery environments.

Others

The contract length is for an initial period until 30 June 2026 plus two 12-month extensions (at the discretion of the Department). You will be working in Canberra | ACT (Hybrid/Remote) location.

Please note that Security Clearance: NV1 Cleared (Preferred) is required for this position.
