**Job Description**

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineering Solutions Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Advanced Analytics team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality data engineering solutions that meet the needs of our stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with experience in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop tailored solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data engineering solutions using industry best practices
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and apply evolving industry standards to individual projects
  • Support continuous team growth and knowledge sharing

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience working on data engineering solution delivery with collaboration with other teams
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Data pipeline architecture and ELT/ETL processes
  • Knowledge of data modelling principles
  • Familiarity with relational databases and data warehousing concepts
  • Exposure to big data tools frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop etc
  • Familiarity with either Databricks or other cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, GCP
  • Knowledge on version control systems and collaborative development workflows
  • Awareness of data governance principles such as data quality and data lineage

About Your Experience

Candidates will be able to demonstrate experience working on data engineering solution delivery with collaboration with other teams.

Candidates will also display: Previous data, software or system engineering experience.

Proficiency in Python is a must.

Data pipeline architecture and ELT/ETL processes Knowledge of data modelling principles Familiarity with relational databases and data warehousing concepts Exposure to big data tools frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop etc Familiarity with either Databricks or other cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, GCP Knowledge on version control systems and collaborative development workflows Awareness of data governance principles such as data quality and data lineage Other desirable skills: Power BI, web app development, IoT, exposure to orchestration tools, basic experience with APIs for data integration Bachelor's degree in STEM
