Technical Operations Specialist

About the Position

As a Technical Operations Specialist, you will join a multidisciplinary team responsible for technical support services for automation and telemetry infrastructure. You will utilize problem-solving skills to perform fault finding and maintenance tasks across the SCADA network.

  • Investigate faults and identify root causes within water treatment plant operations.
  • Regularly monitor and adjust performance indicators for quality and quantity.
  • Proficiently use SCADA technology.
  • Effectively communicate with on-site teams, engineers, and management.
  • Work autonomously or as part of a collaborative team.
  • Dedicate to safety procedures and proactive accident prevention.

About You:

  • A relevant qualification in a technical field (e.g., Electrical, Radio, or Instrumentation).
  • Full working rights in Australia (Permanent Residency or Citizenship preferred).
  • Proven technical guidance with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for positive working relationships.
  • Advanced project management expertise and contract administration.
  • Analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Fundamentals of Networking understanding.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with Clear SCADA/GEO SCADA is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar plant operation role within the water treatment, industrial, or process industries.
  • Telecommunication or network communications experience is highly desirable.
  • RF communications experience would be highly desirable.
