Job Description

At Ballarat Health Services, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Nursing Support Unit (NSU) as a Clinical Nurse Specialist - Acute Care. This permanent part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment, providing high-quality patient care across various directorates.

About the Role

We require a Registered Nurse with recent acute experience to work across all Directorates; Acute, Sub-acute, and Aged Care Communities to fill staffing shortfalls and unplanned high activity demands. As a member of our NSU team, you will be required to work AM, PM, and Night Duty shifts, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient-focused outcomes.

To be considered for this role, you must be living in the Ballarat region and have a strong commitment to ongoing mandatory education and professional development. You will also need to possess excellent clinical knowledge and skills, as well as the ability to function effectively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Care for a diverse range of patients and residents in varied care settings
  • Provide high-quality direct care within scope of practice
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient-focused outcomes
  • Document and update care plans/patient records
  • Provide accurate and timely communication with residents, visitors, and staff at all levels
Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a Registered Nurse with recent Acute experience
  • Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and hold a current Practicing Certificate
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
  • Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
