Nursing Educator and Clinical Supervisor

Grampians Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Nursing and Midwifery Education Unit as a Clinical Support Nurse – Transition to Practice Program (Graduates). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing direct clinical supervision and support to beginning practitioner graduates across various clinical areas.
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the development of early career nurses. You will work closely with the Transition to Practice Team to provide guidance, feedback, and evaluation of graduate nurse's performance, ensuring they develop high-quality clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities- Work clinically alongside graduates to support them in the clinical setting, focusing on developing their skills and confidence.
- Provide constructive feedback and evaluation of graduate nurse's performance, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes.
- Participate in teaching and learning activities, delivering clinical study days and facilitating discussions to promote knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Supervise graduates and monitor their care delivery, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and clinical guidelines.
- Liaise with NUMs to address graduate requirements and clinical needs, promoting seamless communication and collaboration.
- A tertiary qualification in nursing practice and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency as a Registered Nurse.
- A tertiary qualification in adult education and/or Cert IV in TAE or working towards, demonstrating expertise in educational frameworks and clinical learning environments.
- An understanding of healthcare settings, including clinical areas, and well-developed IT skills, written and verbal communication abilities.
The estimated annual salary for this role is $95,000 - $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer flexible work arrangements, purchase leave opportunities, and access to staff fitness programs.
