**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cancer Centre Chemotherapy Day Unit. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, administering cytotoxics, and providing expert cannulation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, demonstrating safe administration of cytotoxics and expert cannulation skills.
- Provide advice to patients and carers on symptom management through the disease process.
- Identify psycho-social needs of patients and their families and initiate appropriate referrals.
- Initiate liaison with other relevant health professionals in the hospital and community to ensure that clinical knowledge and expertise is maintained across the continuum of care.
- Demonstrate active pursuit of professional development relating to Oncology and Haematology and relevant medical conditions.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in acute Oncology/Haematology nursing.
- Competency in the safe administration of cytotoxic therapies.
- Expert cannulation skills.
- Demonstrate 'best practice' clinical nursing skills and knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe care in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain/ Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain.
