Grain Receival Operator

Main Responsibilities:
- Manage control room operations, operate Smart Scales bulk handling system, and update daily grain tonnes.
- Monitor Bunge site via the closed-circuit camera system for any hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
- Run shipping from the CSM computer system, controlling tonnage rates, inspecting trends, and monitoring equipment conditions to optimize terminal efficiency.
- Operate site Telehandler lifting equipment, perform tasks at heights, and serve as a spotter to ensure safe lifting practices.
- Maintain site hygiene at fixed plant and other work areas as required, adhering to Bunge's high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Complete Job Hazard Analysis permits and confined space permits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Test and implement Lock Out and Tag Out procedures to ensure equipment safety.
- Attend daily safety pre-start meetings to discuss safety protocols and best practices.
- Comply with OH&S, HR, and Quality policies and procedures, as well as Bunge's code of conduct, to maintain a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Assist the maintenance team at Bunge sites, including Bunbury, Arthur River, and Kukerin, to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.
- Develop knowledge and understanding of terminal operations, including fixed plant and mobile equipment, to make informed decisions and improve processes.
- Develop knowledge of terminal procedures, processes, and policies to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor to support the team and achieve business objectives.
Knowledge and Technical Competencies:
- ESSENTIAL: Must have a valid Western Australian C class driver's license.
- DESIRABLE: High Risk Work training, including Forklift & Dogman High Risk Work training, Confined Gas testing ticket, Lock Out Tag Out ticket, and Working at heights ticket.
Education / Experience:
- High level of interpersonal skills, including assertiveness, communication, and time management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
