The Senior Editor will oversee our Asia editorial hub, leading a team of senior editors who helm major breaking news and enterprise stories across all platforms.

You'll edit stories, help set priorities, and collaborate with teams throughout the organization. Experience working in multiple levels of the newsroom and previous management experience are ideal.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to deliver accurate, engaging stories under tight deadlines
  • Assign and edit stories, planning and assigning story coverage
  • React quickly to unexpected stories and break news
  • Contribute to various platforms and formats, including audio and video
  • Collaborate with numerous teams in Asia and worldwide

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a newsroom Editor
  • Experience in real-time news environments
  • Direct management experience and covering areas like Government, Economics, Finance & Markets, Technology and Global Business in Asia
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written
  • A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work calmly under pressure
  • A collaborative spirit and commitment to innovate and experiment
  • Demonstrated career growth within an organization
