Intensive Care Specialist
Job Description:
Seeking a skilled and experienced intensive care specialist to join our dynamic team. As an ICU registrar, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our critical care services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Admission and management of critically ill patients under supervision.
- Timely clinical assessments and responses to deteriorating patients.
- Active participation in ward rounds, handovers, and discharge planning.
- Performance of procedures within scope of competence.
- Supervision of junior staff and medical students.
- Engagement in quality assurance, safety, and education initiatives.
Requirements:
- MBBS or equivalent, with current General or Provisional AHPRA registration.
- A minimum of 6 months experience in ICU, Anaesthetics, or Emergency Medicine.
- Demonstrated procedural competence and acute resuscitation skills (e.g., ALS, BASIC, APLS).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
- PGY4+ by commencement.
- Demonstrated interest in a career in Intensive Care.
- Commitment to continued professional development.
