We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Allied Health team on a casual basis at Newcastle Private Hospital. As a Social Worker, you will have the opportunity to work autonomously with a supportive team, delivering outstanding care to our patients.
This role provides the opportunity to experience a varied caseload across areas including general medical, ICU, cardiac, maternity, and oncology. You will be working with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a high standard of clinical care to patients
- Work independently as part of the healthcare team
- Contribute to the multidisciplinary care of our patients
- Involvement with both inpatient and outpatient services
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including doctors, allied health, nurses, patients, and their families
- Degree in Social Work and eligibility with the AASW
- Minimum 2 years' previous experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience in adult acute inpatient hospital experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Skills and experience working in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team
- Customer-focused service delivery
