Job Role Overview

A customer-focused role is available at a leisure facility where you will provide exceptional service to customers in person and over the telephone.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and experience working with children and families.

This entry-level position offers a chance to develop your customer service skills, work in a fast-paced environment, and be part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to all customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Apply sound cash handling practices and use point of sale systems efficiently.
  • Provide accurate information and promote memberships to customers, achieving sales targets when necessary.
  • Promote the centre's services and programs to customers, accepting bookings and enrolments as required.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with customers, responding to their concerns and feedback.
  • Adhere to security and safety procedures, including opening and closing the centre as needed.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive and energetic work style, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with software packages and point of sale systems.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Workplace Level 2) and CPR Certificate.
  • Blue card or equivalent certification.
  • Familiarity with the leisure industry is desirable, but not essential.

Additional desirable skills include lifeguard or swim teacher qualifications or a willingness to obtain them. Knowledge of the aquatic industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
