We are seeking an accomplished Chef to oversee the culinary direction of our kitchen, creating innovative dishes and exceptional dining experiences.
- The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing commercial kitchen operations, with expertise in menu planning, food presentation, and team leadership.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications in cookery or hospitality and tourism, along with a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef.
- Prior experience in commercial kitchen management, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff supervision is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives is required.
- A strong understanding of modern Australian cuisine and its application in a commercial kitchen environment is necessary.
- Motivation for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service is expected.
- To plan, direct, and supervise the food preparation and cooking activities.
- To determine how food should be presented, and create decorative food displays.
- To determine production schedules & staff requirements necessary to ensure delivery of services.
- To estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients.
This is a full-time role requiring a strong commitment to food safety and quality.
- To collaborate with other personnel to plan and develop recipes and menus, taking into account seasonal availability of ingredients and likely customer demand.
- To check the quantity and quality of received products.
- To demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
