Job Description:

As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our Pre-contracts team. With over 20 years of experience in delivering large-scale pipeline infrastructure and drilling projects across Australia and the Asia Pacific region, we are seeking a skilled professional to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting tendering estimation for engineering works, including BOQ take-offs, generating and evaluating cost estimates and budgets for strategic construction tenders, analysing construction contracts and identifying potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.

Additionally, you will collate bid/tender submission documents, prepare and manage draft project execution schedules, tracking progress and identifying potential delays, perform supplier, sub-contractor and material enquiries, and conduct evaluation analysis and reporting.

Establishing effective stakeholder relationships with clients, vendors, JV partners, and sub-contractors is also a key responsibility. You will prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders, including executive management and clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Quantity Surveying degree or related field
  • 4-6 years of practical experience as a Site or Project Engineer on pipeline construction projects, providing an understanding of scope of work to bid. Strong constructability awareness is essential
  • Good knowledge of pipeline construction contracts
  • Able to build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to generate interest, capacity and pricing
  • Familiarity with risk management processes within construction projects
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
