Business Strategist Job Overview

We are seeking a Business Strategist to join our Finance team. This role involves partnering with senior leaders to develop and implement business strategies that drive commercial objectives.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with key stakeholders, developing and evaluating business plans, and leading cross-functional teams in the execution of complex projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing financial data, market trends, and competitor performance to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Designing and implementing strategic plans and initiatives that drive business results
  • Developing efficient financial models, forecasts, and reporting tools to support decision-making processes
  • Leading cross-functional teams in project execution, ensuring timely delivery and detailed execution
  • Providing actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership based on thorough analysis and interpretation of financial data
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 5 years + experience within the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industries
  • Proven expertise in data warehousing, reporting, analytics tools, and visualisation technologies, such as SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, and JDE
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, able to resolve root causes and develop innovative solutions
  • Solid understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting techniques
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, able to effectively explain complex financial concepts
