About this opportunity

We are seeking 4 boilermakers to assist with the maintenance of a power station during a 5-week shutdown period.

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals to start or further their experience in shutdowns, working in a supportive environment with accommodation provided in Toowoomba and bus transport to and from site each day.

Duties will include:

  • Maintaining plant effectively to set standards;
  • Collaborating with trades assistants and other tradesmen to achieve optimal plant performance;
  • Completing minor plant isolation and operation tasks;
  • Utilizing a computerized maintenance management system to create and complete work orders;
  • Conducting routine plant maintenance;

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Trade qualification in Boilermaking;
  • Maintenance experience required; mining experience not essential;
  • EWP, CS, WAH and LF highly desirable but not essential;
  • A commitment to Occupational Health & Safety practices;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Current driver's license and construction card;
