Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our Maintenance Team at a woodchip site in Eden, NSW. The position reports to the Maintenance Manager and will undertake production related plant and equipment maintenance tasks.


The role involves assisting with the maintenance and repair of production equipment such as heavy and light mobile plant, processing equipment, material transfer equipment and general yard equipment.


This is a secure permanent full-time opportunity for a qualified Mechanic who wants to grow their skills, knowledge and career.



Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and repair of production equipment
  • Diagnostics and rectification of breakdowns
  • Working on trucks, trailers, loaders, dozers and auxiliary equipment
  • Ensuring production assets are maintained and available safely and effectively
  • Making recommendations for equipment replacement where required


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Engineering
  • Mechanical Trade qualification is essential
  • A proven track record of successful experience as a mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing setting is advantageous
  • Current and valid motor vehicle driver's license
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience following Safe Operating Procedures and using hazard identification and risk management techniques
