We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in a pivotal role that plays a critical part in maintaining the health and integrity of Melbourne Water's land.

This is a full-time position based at our Carrum Depot, servicing Melbourne Water owned land on the Mornington Peninsula and Frankston area.

  • As a member of our two-person crew, you will be responsible for conducting herbicide spraying along fence lines and around structures on Melbourne Water land using a vehicle-mounted spray rig.
  • You will also work on drone operations, including aerial spraying and asset inspections.
  • In addition, you will conduct tractor and front-deck mowing, remote-control mowing for grass cutting and grooming, and support the civil maintenance team with asset inspections and related tasks across the region.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work proactively as a member of the team, and take responsibility for their role in ensuring the safety of all team members and other personnel on site.

You will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues and the general public. You will also be resilient and able to perform under pressure, especially in emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct tractor and front-deck mowing, remote-control mowing for grass cutting and grooming.

  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all relevant health and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • A valid Victorian Driver's License.
  • The ability to pass a Police check and pre-employment medical.
  • Experience in herbicide spraying, drone operations, and grounds maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
