This role involves completing routine expense analysis tasks for our Data Centres within a limited scope. You will develop expertise in expense analysis through coaching, instruction, and practical experience, becoming a vital member of cross-functional teams.

We seek someone who can work independently but is also an excellent communicator. Experience with Oracle, Coupa, and Power BI (or similar systems) would be advantageous or the ability to quickly learn new systems and software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create Purchase Requisitions for country/region expenses within a limited scope
  • Monitor purchase order quality and provide critical metric reporting to improve process
  • Work with requestors to ensure POs are receipted correctly and timely
  • Update dedication values vs. POs and work with Ops Finance/General Ledger to assess commitments not made vs. budget
  • Ensure compliance of Purchase Requests, required contracts/legal approvals, accounting codes, and competitive bids
  • Contact vendors for invoices where necessary
  • Solve billing/invoice problems related to country/region expenses

Budget Management and Reporting:

  • Cordinate and consolidate budget and forecast inputs from IBX Operations teams, undertake ad hoc analysis to drive forecast adjustments
  • Responsible for running and providing commitment tracking reporting to IBX teams, support Ops finance on month end reporting, variance commentary, and support the accrual process
  • Generate KPI reporting around Ops tasks completion and accuracy (such as receipting)

Business Relationships:

  • Key point of contact for Ops team on finance admin related queries
  • Support vendors as key point of contact for query resolution management, working closely with Accounts Payable team
  • Work to support Ops finance on budget, forecast, and month end deliverables
  • Acknowledge the link between business and finance to meet commitments

Financial Problem Solving:

  • Solve routine problems, including investigating actual vs. forecast variances
  • Assist in month end accrual process
  • Provide analysis and perform simple ad hoc duties as required
  • Offer recommendations for process improvement/efficiency gain

This role suits someone who enjoys working in a largely autonomous role but is an excellent communicator and well organized, as the position works closely with many different parts of the organization.
