Job Role

This Senior Accounting position offers a unique opportunity to lead and mentor a team of accountants while providing strategic tax and financial advice to clients. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for managing workflow and review outputs across compliance and advisory services.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Compliance & Advisory: Prepare and review tax returns, oversee BAS, GST, PAYG, and corporate tax compliance, conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Deliver strategic tax and financial advice to clients.
  • Manage workflow and review outputs across compliance and advisory services.
  • Lead and mentor junior and intermediate staff.
  • Contribute to process improvements and help shape the firm's growth.
  • Bring a long-term career mindset with potential to manage an offshore team in the future.

To succeed in this role, you must have 7+ years of experience in Australian public practice, 2+ years in a leadership, workflow, or review capacity, strong knowledge of Australian tax law, AASB standards, and compliance. You should also be confident using Xero, Excel, MYOB, Quick Books, and tax tools, with exceptional attention to detail and efficiency.

Requirements
  • 7+ years' experience in Australian public practice.
  • 2+ years' experience in a leadership, workflow, or review capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax law and AASB standards.
  • Proficient in Xero, Excel, MYOB, Quick Books, and tax tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and efficiency.
