Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Senior Supply Chain Strategist will be instrumental in ensuring a consistent and effective supply of materials and products to meet operational objectives. This role involves overseeing the material planning framework and all associated supply chain functions, particularly focusing on our Safety division.

  • Oversee supply chain operations to optimize revenue and enhance business profitability;
  • Establish and uphold a dependable system for the procurement, replenishment, and planning of materials, products, and services to meet both internal production and external customer demands; this includes a strategic approach to MRP, inventory management, inbound freight cost oversight, and maintenance of procurement records;
  • Evaluate and manage inventory levels, lead times, and capacity limitations to formulate and implement a robust supply strategy that aligns with company requirements;
  • Proactively recognize and address supply chain vulnerabilities, including material shortages, demand variations, production holdups, and transport disruptions;
  • Maintain a strong emphasis on cost management, particularly concerning freight expenses;
  • Serve as the primary liaison for all inquiries related to demand and supply from internal stakeholders;
  • Collaborate with suppliers alongside the Procurement team to pinpoint areas for enhancement;
  • Promote process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and quality upgrades;
  • Foster strong relationships with both internal and external partners;
  • Adopt a safety-first mindset in all operational activities.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • Degree in Business, Logistics, or a related discipline;
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience in supply chain management and planning;
  • Practical knowledge of Purchasing, Material Planning (MRP) in a multi-plant environment, Logistics, and Inventory Management;
  • Experience with SAP R/3 or SAP S4 HANA;
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and related applications;
  • Ability to adapt and manage multiple, shifting priorities in a dynamic environment;
  • Team-oriented with a positive outlook and eagerness to learn;
  • Exceptional skills in stakeholder engagement, analysis, communication, organization, and task management.
