Mental Health Specialist Position

Headspace Bathurst is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Young People’s Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team.
This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people aged 12–25 who are experiencing mental health challenges. As a specialist, you will play a vital role in providing assessment, care coordination, and interventions that cater to the unique needs of each individual.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the mental health needs of young people and develop personalized treatment plans that address these needs.
- Facilitate group sessions for young people and their families, promoting a safe and supportive environment for discussion and exploration.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and delivery of high-quality services.
- Build strong relationships with clients, carers, and other service providers to promote effective communication and cooperation.
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Registration with AHPRA, AASW, or a relevant professional body.
- Advanced clinical skills and experience working with diverse populations, including adolescents and young adults.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
