Job Description:

The Labourer/Trades Assistant is a versatile role that involves supporting tradespeople and other labourers on construction sites.

  • Carry materials, equipment, and tools to the worksite or storage areas as required.
  • Assist with setting up and tearing down equipment and machinery as directed by supervisors.
  • Operate machinery under close supervision, adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by following established safety procedures at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to prevent accidents and improve productivity.
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisors to ensure smooth site operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Be physically fit for manual labour tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, receiving and following instructions from supervisors and colleagues.
  • Will to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as needed.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation to job sites.
  • While construction or mining industry experience is preferred, it is not mandatory for this position.
