Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technical Assistant to provide support in the preparation of materials and equipment for educational delivery.

  • As a Technical Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing care and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds.
  • You will offer support to teaching staff in the delivery of assessment and training of practical tasks.
  • Maintain tools and equipment utilised by the teaching section in accordance with Work, Health, and Safety requirements.

About You

Working in a supportive environment, you will play a vital role in assisting with the delivery of educational programs. Your experience in a trade environment and well-developed knowledge of tools and equipment will be key in this role. Your initiative to identify and organise resources required by students and staff will deliver service excellence.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Trade qualifications appropriate to the role and trades area and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to service, clean, repair and safely operate workshop machinery.
  • Demonstrated customer service, organisational skills and ability to work as a member of a team with minimal supervision.
  • As required, possession of or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment the following: Drivers Licence, First Aid Certificate, Forklift Licence and Electrical Tag and Test Certificate.
