Aviation Security Specialist

MSS is seeking Aviation Security Specialists to join our team at Hobart Airport. As an Aviation Security Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and airport operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Conduct security screening for passengers, staff, and visitors.">
  • Operate security technology and systems, including metal detectors, to identify potential risks or prohibited items.">
  • Perform scans when required for passengers, staff, and visitors to ensure no prohibited items are being carried.">
  • Conduct Explosive Trace Detection tests.">
  • Operate X-ray machines to screen luggage for dangerous goods, prohibited items, or weapons.">
  • Perform thorough bag searches when necessary to ensure compliance with aviation security regulations.">
  • Monitor and patrol airport premises to identify and report any security threats or breaches.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • ">
  • Full working rights in Australia.">
  • The ability to undergo and pass a national security police check.">
  • The ability to undergo and pass a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing).">
  • The ability to stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours.">
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.">
