Job Role

MSS Security is seeking casual Aviation Protection Officers to ensure the safety and security of passengers, staff, and airport operations at Hobart Airport.

This role involves conducting thorough risk assessments and implementing effective security measures to mitigate potential threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting in-depth security screenings for passengers, staff, and visitors, utilizing metal detectors and other security technology.
  • Operating X-ray machines and Explosive Trace Detection equipment to identify prohibited items and potential risks.
  • Performing thorough bag searches and patrolling airport premises to detect security breaches.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Australian working rights.
  • Ability to undergo and pass a national security police check.
  • Passing a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing).
  • Standing for extended periods, up to 12 hours.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
