The Animal Management Role

This position is responsible for undertaking activities to meet the Council's animal management service responsibilities and delivering excellent customer service by responding to inquiries.

Attending on-site situations ensures community safety, wellbeing, and environmental protection.

Main responsibilities include attending site situations requiring resolution to protect community safety, participating in an after-hours roster, maintaining records and systems, managing enforcement cases, providing advice and education to external customers, and supporting the Animal Management team with animal management and related legislation.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should be willing to undertake activities related to animal control duties and provide effective customer service.

You will work closely with the Animal Management team to achieve our goals and objectives.

  • Animal management experience or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical fitness and ability to attend on-site situations
