Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our road maintenance team as a Maintenance Officer.

This role is part of a small team dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community through effective roadside maintenance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating spray equipment, performing vegetation management, concreting and finishing, pipe laying, and sign installation while maintaining a safe working environment.

  • Operate spray equipment and apply chemicals to ensure clear, safe, and well-maintained roadsides.
  • Perform roadside vegetation management, concreting and finishing, pipe laying, and sign installation.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and demonstrate ability to operate various items of minor plant and equipment.
  • Perform physical laboring duties and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

  • Demonstrated understanding of and/or experience in general maintenance duties associated with roads and roadsides.
  • Chemical Spray Ticket (current) or demonstrated extensive experience in spraying chemicals and willingness to obtain a ticket.
  • Class C driver's license with the ability to operate manual transmission.
  • Work Safely in the Construction Industry Induction ticket (white card).
  • Ability and willingness to work in confined spaces, excavations, and at heights.
